day one

so
toronto
canada
north america
15 below zero
none of these places i've been before, so all a little bit exciting.
day one quite easy really. got up at silly o'clock, got on a plane. missed a sandwich for turbulence, and gained 5 hours. after stopping by work to pick up mr. wolfson, mark takes me back to his ridiculously large apartment, where we hang out, eat 'old' cheese, and wait for the missus. it's pretty cold, and i'm sleep deprived, so we go tobogganing. walmart have kindly furnished us with some circles of vinyl (larger than 12", thankfully), and the clouds deemed it necessary to prepare for my arrival by dumping a few inches of snow around. apparently the slopes weren't as swift as previous nights, but that didn't stop mark and ben trying to break their tailbones...

tobogganing complete, we comsume takeaway, and head out again to see a pickup hockey game, albert ventura showing some ice hockey skills. sleep was somewhat interrupted by the biting of toes thanks to the youngest member of the hardy family, kramer.

the snow is stunning. there's no other word for it; i feel like a kid in the proverbial candy store, i can't wait to get outside again...
